Philosophical Discussion
Indiana Jones is a hero, and like all heroes, it’s not only about the action but about the values that they represent. Indiana Jones, in particular, is known to represent truth, courage, and intelligence. In today’s world, where there are constant debates on facts vs fiction as well as heroic actions, the Indiana Jones franchise could serve as a timely reminder of what genuine heroism truly represents.
Editorial
As for the digital market, the Indiana Jones franchise has always been a favorite among moviegoers, and the return of the franchise on Disney+ after the release of its fifth and final installment only confirms it. However, in the age of streaming, relying exclusively on nostalgia is not enough to keep viewers engaged. Therefore, Disney’s move to couple exclusive merchandise with the Indiana Jones franchise allows them to create a new revenue stream for the company, and at the same time, inject more excitement around the Indiana Jones franchise.
Advice
Indiana Jones serves as an excellent example of how a good story can still hold great power, even in the most modern era. While the Indiana Jones franchise is just one of our many favorites, it is important for digital media companies to appreciate the value that these stories carry. Today’s world needs heroes, and these stories remind us not only of what heroes represent but also of what they do to inspire us.
