Netflix obtained the rights to all of Screen Gems’ movie theatrical releases starting in 2022, through a deal signed with the distributor’s parent company, Sony Pictures. As a result, “The Machine” is expected to stream on Netflix after it exits the theaters. Although the exact date remains unannounced, we can estimate it by looking at other Sony Pictures movies. “The Woman King” was released in theaters on September 16, 2022, before becoming available on Netflix on February 16th, 2023 — after around five months.
