Gina Miles Takes Home Crown as Winner of “The Voice” Season 23
Gina Miles, a 19-year-old singer from Paxton, Illinois, recently won this year’s “The Voice” competition on NBC. Miles, who lives in Sacramento, California, was coached by Niall Horan and beat out the Top 5 contestants for the title.
Stiff Competition
The final contestants included Noivas from Team Shelton, Sorelle from Team Chance the Rapper, D. Smooth from Team Clarkson, and Grace West from Team Shelton. The winner was determined by audience voting and Miles secured a record deal and a $100,000 prize.
The four coaches–Horan, Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and Chance the Rapper–each sang duets with their teams. The evening also included performances from popular musicians and celebrities.
The Future of “The Voice”
Shelton, who had hoped to win at least one more trophy before leaving the show, will be replaced by Reba McEntire in the next season. Horan is set to return as a coach and former judges John Legend and Gwen Stefani will also be making an appearance.
